Why would we want to give our woodworking patterns away for free?

Because, the theory goes, everyone is attracted to free stuff. You will be so impressed with the projects you make from our free downloads that you will come back and buy lots more stuff off us and we will become rich and be able to retire and I will buy a new boat and sail off into the sunset and.........!!!!!
Oops - sorry. Just got carried away for a moment.

Actually, you might be the one to get rich. Well, maybe not rich, but a few extra smackaroonies in the back pocket don't do nobody no harm. (A triple negative. Let's hope no school teachers are reading this.)

Well, as you brought the subject up let me rave on for a bit about how we make money from our woodwork. And how you could too.

We sell finished pieces at wholesale prices to a small number of galleries. We aim for the top of the market so we sell our artworks, get used to calling your woodwork "art" if you want to get the best prices, at the best outlets. The high prices leave enough over for us even after the galleries take their not inconsiderable cut.
