You really can't go wrong with this level of detail Finished Intarsia Size: Number of Pieces: ![]() Plan Size: Buy the Printed Book This is a small section of the accurate computer drawn plan that along with the step by step instructions and over 50 photos will guide you through the construction process Some Sample Timbers used in this piece
As The Flying Kanga is an introductory project it is designed to be made out of one colour timber. You can use a darker timber for the eye and nose or, more easily, burn them using a pyrography pen. Don't own a pyrograph? No worries. Instructions on making your own in 5 minutes from a piece of bent wire and a candle are included in the book. You have a couple of purchase options...An online download of this individual pattern.

Intarsia Woodworking Patterns are a great way to turn your scrap timber into exclusive artwork that will amaze your friends.
A cheap scroll saw or band saw will get you going.

You'll need some sand paper. Attached to something that rotates.

Like everything, a really complicated intarsia is, well, complicated, and needs lots of work.
Simple patterns are a lot, what's the word I'm looking for, simpler.
