We just call it The Dunny. This striking and very popular design is a cross between intarsia and model making.

Our first attempt didn't have an occupant. Very boring with just the shed and the chickens.

The pattern and instructions guide you through making the background and then gluing the following bits on top

  • Old fella
  • Chooks - farmyard fowl to the non-Aussies among you
  • Door
  • Bushes

This finished design always attracts a lot of attention. As it will when it's hanging on your wall.

Intarsia Woodworking Patterns are a great way to turn your scrap timber into exclusive artwork that will amaze your friends.

A cheap scroll saw or band saw will get you going.

You'll need some sand paper. Attached to something that rotates.

Like everything, a really complicated intarsia is, well, complicated, and needs lots of work.
